Updated on January 18, 2024: Our selection process is almost complete. Our team of six jurors is currently reviewing over 1400 individual entries submitted by 150 unique artists. Due to the high number of entries, the jury process needed an extension, but we expect to finish by the end of January, with a discussion in early February. We appreciate everyone’s patience during this time. Stay tuned for more updates!

Updated on May 13, 2024: We are pleased to announce that after reviewing many submissions, we have shortlisted 100 outstanding pieces for our Canvas of Care Art Program. These works beautifully showcase Navajo culture and support our mission to create a welcoming, health-promoting environment in our hospital facilities. With only one part-time person managing this project, we appreciate the patience of the artists. We understand your livelihoods are important, and you may no longer have the pieces in your inventory. Our financial team is developing the budget to acquire as many artworks as possible. While we are still determining the exact amounts, we remain committed on enriching our facilities and supporting the talented artists in our community.

Update on May 31, 2024: We are currently finalizing the budget with our finance team to acquire selected artworks. Our Marketing Department will soon contact the shortlisted artists to discuss the next steps and ensure seamless communication. We appreciate your patience as we work to enhance our new home with art, and we hope to make you a key part of this exciting addition to our community. We understand that there may be a possibility that some of the artworks are no longer available, as there was no obligation for the artists to hold onto those pieces. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we work through this phase.

The Canvas of Care Art Program mission is to create a welcoming and uplifting environment through art that promotes health and wellness and showcases Navajo culture. By showcasing local artists’ work in our hospital facilities, we aim to support the arts, enhance the hospital experience, and bring the community together.

Call for Artists

We are currently accepting submissions from artists of all 2D disciplines for our new hospital facilities. This is a unique opportunity to have your artwork displayed in a healthcare setting and make a positive impact on those who visit or work in the hospital.

Also Accepting Donations

In addition to submissions, we also welcome donations of artwork from artists who wish to support our mission.
