Mobile Health Unit Influenza Vaccine Schedule
PHOENIX – Sage Memorial Hospital (SMH) is pleased to announce that the Arizona Coyotes Foundation has awarded the hospital a grant of $10,000 to support its health and wellness initiatives in the community. Phyllencia Begay, Grant Writer accepted the grant award on behalf of Sage Memorial Hospital during an awards recognition ceremony held in Tempe, Arizona on October 26, 2022.
The Arizona Coyotes Foundation wrote in a Facebook post about their grant recipient: “Tonight we honor grantee, Navajo Health Foundation – Sage Memorial Hospital @sagememorial is a 25-bed critical access hospital located on the Navajo Nation that provides emergency outpatient, and behavioral health services. #CoyotesCare.”
The Arizona Coyotes Foundation is dedicated to raising millions of dollars each year in order to support non-profit organizations serving the state of Arizona and focusing on three key areas: Education, Health and Wellness and Economic Advancements.
The award was granted to SMH in the category of Health and Wellness and is intended to support organizations and programs that promote access to resources that improve health outcomes for underserved and underinsured populations according to the organization’s mission statement.
Phyllencia Begay, Grant Writer for SMH commented, “We thank the Arizona Coyotes Foundation for their partnership and generous donation that will help us implement a mass flu event to ensure access to flu vaccines this fall. Through our continued partnerships, we can help ensure better health outcomes for the members of Sage Memorial Hospital’s service area.”
