The March of Dimes Mom & Baby Mobile Health Center® brings care closer to home for families across the Navajo Nation in Arizona. From pregnancy through the months after birth, our team cares for moms and babies together, so families can get the care they need without long drives to a clinic. The mobile center is a partnership between Sage Memorial Hospital, March of Dimes, and Mercy Care and the Mercy C.A.R.E.S. Community Reinvestment Program.
Our services
The Mom & Baby Mobile Health Center® aims to improve birth outcomes for Navajo families by bringing care closer to home, with wraparound clinical services, referrals, and support enrolling in health insurance.
CLINICAL SERVICES INCLUDE:
• Pre-pregnancy care: Planning for a healthy pregnancy, when you’re ready.
• Prenatal and postpartum care: Checkups, screening, education, and support during pregnancy and after birth, including lactation and mental health support.
• Infant care: Care for your baby, including checkups, screening, education, and feeding support.
• Women and reproductive health care: Birth control counseling and services, including IUD and Nexplanon, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, and cervical cancer screening and referrals.
Why it matters
Getting to a clinic isn’t always easy. The mobile center brings care to your community, with a team that listens, respects your choices, and supports you and your baby every step of the way.
